Century Services Group is an independently owned corporation based in Massachusetts with experience managing major events in over 20 states. The company is fully insured and carries a general liability policy, a commercial auto policy and a workers compensation policy.
In the events and entertainment industry, it really is all about the guests and fans! Each interaction a guest has may decide if they'll attend again; whether or not they would recommend a friend, or nowadays, the entire internet to your event. From the time they pull into the property, warmly greeted and given clear, helpful instructions. To when they enter the facility to find clean grounds and restrooms. Every cross-function department is so important to the overall guest experience.
We also understand and accept our role in keeping patrons safe. Safety is woven into all of our standard operating procedures and we work quickly to address and communicate any potential hazards.
A single event can require us to hire, train and manage 100+ people over just a couple weeks. We love the opportunity to work with and positively impact so many folks in such a short time. Each Team Member is thoroughly trained as employee safety is our priority. It's always a pleasure having several team members return year-after-year to work with us at events. Most of our traveling management team, including the owner, started in the events industry as a temporary staff member.
We have had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest individuals and organizations throughout the years. Very few people see the many months of planning, late nights and long stretches with no days off that event production teams dedicate prior to and during each event. Coordinating so many moving parts on event days and troubleshooting problems can be stressful. At Century we plan, communicate and work equally as hard to deliver a first class service, allowing you to focus on other pressing concerns.
Events overall tend to positively impact surrounding communities. This may be from attracting out-of-town visitors, creating temporary jobs and upticks to local businesses. Many events donate to local charities and find ways to incorporate local business into the excitement. Having worked on many projects that do such great things for their communities, we are forever inspired. We will continue to find creative ways to work with local nonprofits, local businesses and promote positivity in all communities we provide service in.
One downside to events is the massive amount of trash they create. Over the years we have consulted many clients on ways to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The result? Aside from diverting hundreds of tons of materials from landfills, we often see recycling positively impact our clients bottom line. Waste haulers often have steep discounts for recyclables. For certain commodities such as metal, our clients make money for heavy materials that otherwise would have ended up in a landfill.
Many have been to a county fair, music concert or sporting event where people gathered by the masses. The sounds of laughter, cheering, music and unmistakable smell of our favorite concessions foods fill the air. People from all walks of life, brought together for entertainment and celebration. No matter the long hours, being a part of an environment like this brings a level of excitement and energy second to none.
